Baltimore Students for Start-Ups(BSFS) was created to provide an interactive platform for students, local startups or fast-growth companies to connect and collaborate. BSFS is an opportunity for students looking for internships to learn all about local opportunities and learn from people in business, technology, and entrepreneurship. Our goal is to bring life to static job posts and resumes while providing students with a great learning experience.

There is ample supply of talented students in Maryland and great demand for practical business/entrepreneurial experience..now it's time to connect!

Q: I’m a startup looking for engineers, will this help my company?A: Yes, there will be students from STEM majors. However, our goal is to have a diverse range of technical and non-technical opportunities available to prospective hires.

Q: I’m a startup looking seeking interns, how do I get started?

 A: Get started with a great example from Towson University's Tips for Writing Effective Job Descriptions. 

Once you have written a job description, submit the BSFS Intern Request Form to schedule a time to present your start-up and connect with students at one of our meetups.

Q: I’m a student looking for an internship. Will I get paid?A: It depends because every start-up’s funding situation is different. While some companies will pay you a salary, others will work with your school to determine how you can earn credit. Either way, the internships should be valuable experiences that will help you grow personally, professionally, and academically. Three for the price of…well it’s just priceless!

Q: How much does it cost to attend a BSFS event?

 A: Zero. Nada. Zip. Just come ready to learn and network!

Q: Is Wifi available at the event? 

A: Yes, Wifi will be made available. 

Q: How many guests can I bring? 

A:  As many as possible within space limits.
